This course is presented by Michelle May, M.D., FAAFP., the founder and Medical Director of Am I Hungry?, a multidimensional weight management program. Dr. May has served as President of the Arizona Academy of Family Physicians, as Chairperson for the AAFP Subcommittee on Women, and as an Alternate Delegate and Delegate to the AAFP Congress of Delegates. She is an advisor for the AAFP Americans in Motion (AIM) fitness initiative and served on the Arizona Department of Health Services Obesity Prevention Program Healthcare Workgroup. She is also co-chair of the AAFP Women’s Health Care Conference and serves on Action for Healthy Kids and the Away from Home Foods Obesity Prevention Forum.
It is the policy of the AAFP that all CME planning committee/faculty/authors/editors/staff disclose relationships with commercial entities upon nomination/invitation of participation. - Use the AIM to Change resources to move patients toward better health.
- Maximize reimbursement for treatment and management of conditions related to overweight and obesity.

This activity has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 2.0 Prescribed credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Of these credits, 1.0 conforms to the AAFP criteria for evidence-based CME clinical content. CME credit has been increased to reflect 2 for 1 credit for only the EB CME portion. AAFP accreditation begins 8-20-06. Term of approval is for two years from this date with option for yearly renewal. When reporting AAFP credit, report total Prescribed and Elective credit earned for this activity. It is not necessary to label credit as evidence-based CME for reporting purposes.
The EB CME credit awarded for this activity was based on practice recommendations that were the most current with the strongest level of evidence available at the time this activity was approved.
