-- The International Council on Active Aging (ICAA) created a special section of its Web site as part of its relationship with the AAFP. Get free access to the ICAA's age-friendly fitness and wellness locator.
Active Aging Toolkit Resources
-- This toolkit (in PDF format from FirstStep) is an evidence-based and an easy-to-instruct program for health care providers to educate their patients on increasing physical activity. As a result of the Blueprint, the Active Aging Toolkit: Promoting Physical Activity in the Older Adult for Healthcare Providers was developed by a working group of researchers, health care providers, professional organizations and private industry to help health care providers prescribe physical activity programs for their patients.
The National Blueprint of Aging
-- Developed to serve as a guide for multiple organizations, associations and agencies, to inform and support their planning work related to increasing physical activity among America's aging population. This Blueprint is intended to outline broad strategies that will lead to increasing physical activity among older Americans.
International Council on Active Aging
-- The International Council on Active Aging (ICAA) created a special section of its Web site as part of its relationship with the AAFP. Through the ICAA/AAFP relationship, AAFP members gain access to cutting-edge information and scientifically-based programs that will help them better address the fitness and wellness needs of their aging patient base.
The Institute for Preventive Foot Health (IPFH)
