Paper Award
The STFM Research Committee is now accepting
nominations for the 2008 STFM Best Research Paper Award, to
be presented at the
upcoming Annual Spring Conference in Denver.
The award is intended to recognize the best research
paper published by an STFM member in a peer-reviewed journal
between July 1, 2007, and June 30, 2008.
The winning paper in 2008 was "The Trial of Infant Response to Diphenhydramine. The TIRED Study—A Randomized, Controlled, Patient-oriented Trial,* by Dan Merenstein, MD; Marie Diener-West, PhD; Ann Halbower, MD; Alex Krist, MD; Haya Rubin, MD, PhD (Arch Pediatr Adolesc Med 2006;160:707-12).
The 2009 winning paper will be presented at the 2009 Annual Spring Conference in Denver, Colo, April 29 - May 3, 2009.
The STFM Research Committee bases the award selection
on the quality of the research and its potential impact.
A copy of the paper and a nomination letter that documents the potential effect of the paper and its importance to patients’ health and well-being should be sent electronically to Kay Frank at kfrank@stfm.org by November 14, 2008.
