Basic Suturing

Learning Objectives:
  1. Review the proper methodology to perform a punch biopsy.
  2. Discuss techniques for delivering local anesthesia.
  3. Demonstrate and practice the techniques of skin closure using simple interruped, vertical, and horizontal mattress suture closures.
  4. Demonstrate and review the steps in placement of the deep buried subcutaeous suture to close a fusiform excision.
