This session is designed to provide participants with a review of common fractures that the family physicians may encounter in the office or at field side and how to manage these injuries with hands-on experience in the application of splints. A review of diagnostic and therapeutic maneuvers of the soft-tissue injuries and fractures will be included. For each fracture, a representative X-ray will be utilized allowing the participants to review their X-ray interpretation skills. The basic concepts of splinting will be reviewed.
