The Atlantic Philanthropies

The AAFP has received grant funding from The Atlantic Philanthropies to develop and implement a two-phase project on developing educational experiences designed to improve practice behaviors relative to care of the elderly patient. The project is called "Improving Health Outcomes for America's Older Population."

The goal is to develop and implement educational programs, including practice-based quality improvement learning experiences, which will change family physicians' practice behaviors. Focus groups, surveys and other assessment tools will be used to assess the educational needs and interests of family physicians.
