Frequently Asked Questions

What is ALF?
The Annual Leadership Forum is a leadership development program for Chapter staff and Chapter elected leaders designed to provide leadership training and an understanding of roles and responsibilities. The program allows participants to make connections, share ideas, and engage in important dialogue about their Chapters.

What are the dates for 2010?
ALF begins Thursday, April 29 and concludes Saturday afternoon, May 1.

Who should participate?
Chapter presidents, presidents-elect, and Chapter executives are strongly encouraged to attend. Many Chapters also send their professional staff to participate in the wide range of sessions.

ALF also provides a great orientation – with targeted sessions on Chapter advocacy, leadership, and communications – for emerging leaders serving on Chapter boards.

Are the sessions eligible for CAE credit?
Yes. Sessions are eligible for Certified Association Executive (CAE) credit on an hour-for-hour basis, up to six hours per day. An analysis of the 2010 ALF program will be provided after the conference.
