Resident Research Grant Paper Presentation*

Statin medications are widely used in patients with elevated cholesterol or significant cardiac risk factors. There is no consensus, however, on the use of statins in patients without coronary artery disease.
  • Hear the result of one resident’s study on “Specialty Differences in the Use of Statins in Primary Care Prevention.”
  • Learn whether family physicians are more or less likely than internal medicine physicians or cardiologists to prescribe statins in primary prevention.
