2012 National Conference Scholarships
Be recognized for your passion and talent as a future family physician. Apply for one of 150 scholarships to attend the AAFP National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students in Kansas City, Missouri, Thursday, July 26–Saturday, July 28, 2012.
The $500 scholarships are made possible by the American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation, as well as individual and corporate sponsors.

Rules and Information
- You must be a member of the AAFP to apply. (Not a member? Join today.)
- You may only apply for one scholarship annually.
- If you are a previous National Conference scholarship recipient, you may not apply for the same scholarship.
- The number of scholarships in each category varies from year to year, depending on the number of applicants.
- Scholarship recipients are selected by a panel of judges.
- The $500 scholarship is intended to help reduce out-of-pocket expenses (i.e., registration, travel, lodging, meals) to attend National Conference.
- All scholarships are awarded at National Conference. If you are unable to attend the conference, your scholarship will be forfeited.
Deadline
- Scholarship applications (with any required signatures and documentation) must be received via fax, email, or mail postmarked no later than May 1, 2012.
- Winners will be notified on May 31, 2012.
