American Osteopathic Association (AOA) Agreement
AAFP-certified CME Activities for AOA Credit:
The American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accepts AAFP Prescribed and Elective credit as Category 2 credit:
- Category 2-A includes formal live, clinical educational programs that are AAFP approved.
- Category 2-B includes informal or non-live activities, or activities that deal with non-clinical topics such as malpractice.
Approved Statement
AAFP CME providers may use the following statement after the official AAFP credit statement if only AAFP CME credit is offered for the CME activity and AOA members will be attending.
CME activities approved for AAFP credit are recognized by the AOA as equivalent to AOA Category 2 credit.
CME activities approved for AAFP credit are recognized by the AOA as equivalent to AOA Category 2 credit.
AOA-certified CME Activities
CME activities that have been approved for credit by the AOA and that have not been reviewed for AAFP Prescribed credit eligibility are recognized by AAFP for Elective credit.
