Reporting CME Credits for AAFP Members

Family physicians who are AAFP members must report 150 CME credits every three years to fulfill membership requirements. Although members usually self-report CME credits to AAFP, CME providers may facilitate this process. However, this is strictly voluntary and is not a requirement for activity approval.

CME providers that choose to report credits for participating AAFP members should do the following:

A. Compile a typed participant list (rather than a sign-in sheet) that includes:
1. Full names
2. Addresses
3. AAFP member ID numbers, if possible
Please Note: AAFP members who would like to have their CME credit reported for them must initial the participant list and note the number of credits they are reporting.
B. Submit required participant information to:

AAFP Contact Center
