Application Review Fees
- AAFP Credit System application fees are for review services rendered and are non-refundable or transferable.
- The review process begins once the review fee is paid in full.
- Standard application review processing is 30 business days from the receipt of payment.
- Rush reviews available upon request (additional fee required). Reviews conducted in 3-5 business days.
- Online payment options: Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Discover.
Discount available for non-profit organizations: Non-profit CME Provider organizations that have a 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(6) status under the IRC, or are bona fide federal, state, or local governmental entities or agencies qualify for discounted review fees. To qualify, a copy of the determination letter from the IRS must accompany the first CME application. The AAFP will keep the letter on file for future reference.
* The $100 data entry fee is applied to the review fee for applications submitted by mail, fax, or e-mail.
Live Activity Applications
Live activity review fees are based on the number of times the same activity is offered within a one year period, beginning with the first date listed on the application.

$100 Data Entry Fee
An additional $100 data entry fee is applied to the review fee if applications are submitted by mail, fax, or e-mail. You can save this data entry fee by submitting applications online. Get more information about how to apply online.
Re-Review of Applications
A $100 re-review fee will be applied to all applications that are revised after the official AAFP credit determination letter has been sent to the CME Provider.
Re-review fee will be applied if:
- The program agenda changes
- The CME Provider seeks EB designation
A re-review fee does not apply in the event of:
- A change to the begin or end date of the activity
- Speaker or faculty changes
- Additional dates are added to presentation delivery schedule
Rush Fee (review process will take 3-5 business days)
CME providers have the option to pay a rush fee to have their CME application reviewed faster than the standard 30 business days (6 weeks). The rush fee is $500 plus the review fee.
