Learning Objectives
After completing this CME activity, the learner should be able to:
- Provide an assessment for AD on a patient using at least 1 of the following diagnostic tools: mental status tests (such as the mini-mental state exam), physical and neurologic examinations, and brain imaging examinations.
- Counsel patients and family members who are coping with AD.
- Assess the treatment strategy currently being used by physicians for patients with AD, including medication use and nonpharmacologic therapy, if applicable.
