Genital Warts - CDC Recommendations Webcast

Up to 80% of adults will acquire genital HPV by age 50 (with the highest prevalence among 20 to 24 year olds). This free online CME activity for AAFP members provides information on how to detect, diagnose, treat, and monitor genital warts to help your patients avoid long-term health consequences.




This CME activity is presented by Edward J. Mayeaux, Jr., MD, DABFP, FAAFP.

After completing this CME activity, you should be able to:
  1. Counsel patients on lifestyle modifications and annual screenings for HPV and EGWs.
  2. Detect, diagnose, treat and monitor HPV and EGWs to avoid long-term health consequences, especially as they relate to patients.
  3. Determine if the safety and efficacy of the HPV vaccine is appropriate for the patient.
  4. Reference the 2010 CDC STD guidelines and current treatment modalities for HPV and EGWs.
