Alzheimer's Disease: New Research and Treatment Indications for Family Physicians
After reading this CME Bulletin, you should be able to:
- Conduct an assessment for Alzheimer's disease (AD) using at least one of the following diagnostic tools: mental status test (such as the Mini-Mental State Examination), physical and neurological examination, and brain imaging examination.
- Counsel patients and family members who are coping with AD.
- Assess the treatment strategy currently being used for a patient with AD in your practice, including medication currently being used and nonpharmacologic therapy, if applicable.
