Stef Stendardo has been a medical writer and editor for more than 25 years. She has worked as an editorial director for several medical communications companies and mentored rising young talents in the field. For the past 10 years, Ms. Stendardo has been a full-time freelance writer, covering a variety of topics including oncology, transplantation, diabetes, culturally competent medicine, geriatric medicine, endocrinology, and, particularly, chronic pain and in various media, including monographs, journal supplements, slide kits, and video scripts.

Alvin Lin, MD, earned a medical degree at Bowman Gray School of Medicine, Wake Forest University, Winston Salem, NC. He completed a family medicine residency at Contra Costa County’s Merrithew Memorial Hospital, affiliated with the University of California, Davis. Dr. Lin also completed a geriatric fellowship at the Brody School of Medicine, East Carolina University, Greenville, NC. Dr. Lin teaches in the department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Nevada School of Medicine at its Las Vegas Family Medicine Residency program, is an advisory medical director for Infinity Hospice Care, and maintains a private practice.
