Diagnosis and Prevention of Hepatitis A
- Distinguish hepatitis A from other disorders that are associated with similar signs and symptoms.
- Identify persons for whom the hepatitis A vaccine is appropriate.
- Counsel patients who are at risk and household members or close contacts of patients who have hepatitis A on appropriate prevention measures.
