Privileges & Procedures

A General Overview of Privileges and Procedures -- It is the position of the AAFP that clinical privileges should be based on each individual physician’s documented training and/or experience, demonstrated abilities and current competence. This general policy applies to privileges in all areas. Family physicians can provide a variety of procedures to their patients: colonoscopy, Caesarian sections, ultrasounds, colposcopy, etc.
