Student Membership Benefits and Resources

AAFP student membership gives you immediate, members-only access to educational and career resources -- resources that will serve you as a student, resident and practicing physician.

American Family Physician Journal -- Read reviews of other medical periodicals, articles on patient care and diagnosis, as well as clinical review articles to use as study resources. New student members receive the print version of the journal for the first three months following their enrollment date. After three months, their access will be online access only. Students have unlimited, unrestricted online access to not only the current issue, but the complete 10-year archive of articles.
AAFP Chapters -- Local "grassroots" support in the form of mentoring programs, scholarships, local meetings and leadership opportunities.
National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students (NC) -- Three action-packed days filled with Main Stage lectures, procedure courses and clinics, 400-plus exhibitors, including more than 300-plus residency programs. Help choose your national student leaders – or become one yourself at the Leadership Forum. Author and vote on resolutions that provide direction to the AAFP at the national level.
