USA Today Features FSMB Letter on Pain Management

The Oct. 27 issue of USA Today included a letter to the editor from FSMB Senior Vice President Lisa Robin responding to a recent article on the rise in narcotic pain relief prescriptions for injured troops. The letter notes the balanced approach state medical boards have taken in addressing the issue of pain management by adopting policies balancing safe and effective pain care with minimizing the potential for abuse.
