Health Care Reform 2009-2010

AAFP calls on Congress for meaningful health system reform.

In 2009, the House and Senate passed health care reform bills. In early 2010, Congress will work to merge these two bills and send a final version back to each chamber for passage. We’re watching carefully to ensure that key primary care provisions are addressed, including the unsustainable formula in Medicare that determines the payment rate for physicians.
