The American Academy of Family Physicians supports legislation to make funding available for culturally sensitive interpretive services for those who have limited English proficiency, or who are deaf and mute, or who are otherwise language impaired and also requests that the funding be made directly available to the interpreters for culturally sensitive interpretive services.
