The AAFP recognizes physicians with educational and clinical skills deficiencies are being identified by various means. To address these deficiencies, the AAFP believes that a prescriptive, corrective educational program based upon a comprehensive, individualized assessment is essential, as is documentation of achievement of competence at completion of the program.
