It is proper and ethical for an Academy member to indicate membership in the Academy by placing after the letters M.D. or D.O. the letters AAFP and term Fellow, American Academy of Family Physicians or FAAFP may be used when appropriate. (1971) (2003)
AAFP Member

ABFM Diplomate
