Research and Marketing (1997)

Physicians who participate in office-based research should do so in accordance with the tenets of accepted scientific methodology.

Physicians should be sensitive to whether market research techniques--focus groups, marketing surveys, and ad testing--have bona fide marketing research intent (to obtain information) or promotional intent (promotion of a brand-name product). (1991) (1997)
