Professional Competence Evaluation


It is the opinion of the American Academy of Family Physicians that evaluation of competence in the specialty disciplines, including periodic recertification should continue to be under the purview of the individual specialty boards and that medical licensure should continue to be the province of the state boards of medical examiners.
