School Bus Safety

The Academy advocates legislative and educational efforts in the promotion of safe school bus transportation for the nation's children. These efforts may include, but are not limited to, research on seat belt use, safety education programs, specific regulations and standards for vehicles used for school transportation, and mandatory special licensing and physical examination requirements for school bus drivers.
