Students, AAFP

In addition to a Committee on Resident and Student Affairs, students are appointed to most of the commissions, as well as to appropriate committees of the Academy. Beginning in 1974 students select two delegates and two alternates to the Academy's Congress of Delegates. A student was appointed as an observer to the Board of Directors in 1984. In 1991, the Bylaws were changed to authorize a vote for the student Board member.
