Our Stance
AAFP members should be able to operate their practices without significant burdens or costs associated with administrative paperwork. The AAFP supports appropriate use of health information technology, as well as industry standards in electronic patient eligibility verification and benefit information.
AAFP Advocacy Activities

- The AAFP has joined and endorses the Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare's Committee on Operating Rules for Information Exchange (CORE) mission and vision, which is to give providers access to eligibility and benefits information for their patients at the point of care.
