Our Stance
AAFP supports transparency in information about health care cost and quality of care. Physician profiling can be a part of this transparency, but only when is based on nationally recognized performance measures and is based on appropriate guidelines. AAFP Advocacy Activities
- In July 2006, AAFP sent a letter to Regence Blue Shield of Washington seeking a better understanding of its Regence Select Network, which excluded family physicians. Read the letter (3-page PDF file; About PDFs).
Make Your Voice Heard
