Cindy is an independent consultant specializing in management/leadership coaching and development, creating, facilitating, and maintaining intra-organizational as well as cross-organizational teams, managing change, communication skills (including dialogue process), performance development and the enhancement of resilience in organizations.
In addition to serving as faculty speaker for American Academy of Family Physician’s Practice Enhancement Forum, she has also presented workshops in teams, communication and change for the Washington Academy of Family Physicians, the California Academy of Family Physicians and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
From 2002 to 2005, Cindy served as Team and Leadership Development Specialist for the Whatcom County Pursuing Perfection Project, a Robert Wood Johnson funded initiative to improve the delivery of chronic care. This project was nationally recognized for its patient-centered approach and its ambitious cross-organizational collaboration in healthcare transformation. This required creating an environment for collaboration and trust among project staff and pilot site personnel, demonstrating facilitative leadership skills, systems thinking, developing “just–in-time” staff training in communication skills and change hardiness, as well as facilitating cross-functional and cross-organizational implementation teams.
Cindy holds a Master’s of Arts in Applied Behavioral Science with emphasis in Leadership and Human Systems from the Leadership Institute of Seattle/Bastyr School of Applied Behavioral Science.
