The AAFP News Department is the family physician's trusted, credible source for news about the specialty and the larger world of medicine, with analysis and interpretation, including news about the AAFP that members can't get anywhere else. Coverage generated by the News Department presents multiple perspectives but always makes the AAFP's perspective clear. By reporting on activities carrying out the Academy's strategic directions and by saying what AAFP is doing on members' behalf, the coverage communicates the value of being an AAFP member.
