Resident, Medical Student Posters Win Awards

A number of resident and medical student posters won awards at this year's Scientific Assembly in Chicago.

The first-place award of $700 for a resident poster went to John Peter Smith Family Medicine Residency Program, Fort Worth, Texas, for “Adequacy of Colposcopic Biopsies in Family Medicine and OB/Gyn Clinics.” Roxanne JuiHo, M.D., was senior exhibitor for the poster.

The second-place award of $300 for a resident poster went to St. John’s Hospital Family Practice, St. Clair Shores, Mich., for “Health Literacy as the ‘Newest Vital Sign.’" Lisa Ciccarelli Shah, D.O., was senior exhibitor.

The first-place award of $700 for a medical student poster went to University of Washington, Seattle, for “Quantifying Wyoming’s Primary Care Physician Shortage.” D. Gene Corson was senior exhibitor.

The second-place award of $300 for a medical student poster went to Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Bethesda, Md., for “Body Composition and Physical Fitness in a Cohort of U.S. Medical Students: A Pilot Study.” Richard P. Eide was senior exhibitor.
