The North American Primary Care Research Group is accepting nominations from members and other researchers for the 2006 Maurice Wood Award for Lifetime Contribution to Primary Care Research. The deadline for receipt of nominations is April 18.

The annual Wood award is open to scientists in all fields and scientific disciplines and from all nations. The award will be presented at the 34th NAPCRG Annual Meeting Oct. 15-18 in Tucson, Ariz.
Nominations can be submitted by sending the nominee's curriculum vitae and a letter describing the nominee's contributions to primary care research to NAPCRG at napcrg@stfm.org or 11400 Tomahawk Creek Parkway, Leawood, KS, 66211. Questions? Call (800) 274-2237, Ext. 5406.
Previous Wood award recipients include AAFP members Jack Medalie, M.D., M.P.H., professor emeritus in family medicine at Case Western Reserve University Department of Medicine, who won in 1998, and Larry Green, M.D., senior scholar in residence at the AAFP's Robert Graham Center in Washington, who won in 2004.
