FPM Unveils New Design, Updated ICD-9 List

The September issue of Family Practice Management has long been popular for its inclusion of the annual updated ICD-9 code list, but now there's another reason to keep an eye out for it to arrive in your mailbox: FPM has a new design.
FPM’s new look should be easy to spot. The familiar red banner still runs across the top of the journal's cover, but the cover now sports more white space and an easy-to-read table of contents. Inside, more pages have been devoted to feature articles, an expanded editorial section and a new department, "The Last Word."
The ICD-9 list, which has been updated to reflect changes that take effect Oct. 1, features 500 of the codes used most often in family medicine. Abbreviated and comprehensive versions of the list also are available online, along with a list summarizing the ICD-9 changes for 2005-06.
