Ask Patients to Take Online Survey on Their Health

Consumers now have the chance to tell the Academy what types of health-related resources they want to receive from their physicians, thanks to a survey created by AAFP's Americans in Motion program. The survey is available to familydoctor.org visitors, and the results will guide AIM in creating materials fitting patients' requests.

The brief survey poses questions such as "How would you rate your health?" and "What types of health-related resources do you like to receive from your physician … related to nutrition, exercise and emotional well-being?" Another question asks whether patients feel their primary care physicians are good sources of information on physical fitness, nutrition and emotional well-being.

AAFP News Now will share the survey results with AAFP members.

Ask your patients to participate in the survey by going to the Family Doctor Web site and clicking on the red box at the right, "Take the familydoctor.org healthy habit survey."
