Presenters Win Awards for Posters

The following posters won awards at the 2005 Scientific Assembly, Sept. 28 - Oct. 2:

The first-place award of $700 for a residency poster went to the Oregon Health & Science University Family Medicine Residency Program, Portland, for "Teens, Exercise, Esteem and Nutrition." Elizabeth Powers, M.D., was senior exhibitor for the poster.

The second-place award of $300 for a residency poster went to Baylor Family Medicine Residency at Garland, Texas, for "Vertebral Sarcoid Presenting as Back Pain." Angela Sanchez, M.D., was senior exhibitor.

The first-place award of $700 for a medical student poster went to the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, Iowa City, for "Goals for Unexplained Symptoms." Terri Nordin was senior exhibitor.

The second-place award of $300 for a medical student poster went to the University of Wisconsin Medical School, Madison, for "Attitudes of Women Physicians in Rural Practice." Erin Kimball was senior exhibitor.
