Share Info at Practice Improvement Conference
By News Staff
The former Conference on Patient Education -- now called the Conference on Practice Improvement: Health Information and Patient Education -- is looking for presenters.
The meeting, Nov. 9-12 in Denver, has the theme "The Internet Changes Everything" and will focus on management of chronic illness. Attendees can choose from a variety of presentations, including workshops, seminars, lectures, papers, posters and special interest discussions. Individuals proposing presentation topics should consider these educational tracks:
- patient education,
- practice enhancement,
- best practices for the new model of health care recommended in the Future of Family Medicine report and
- chronic illness management.
March 15 is the deadline for submitting applications. The meeting, sponsored by the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine and AAFP, is designed for family physicians, residency faculty, residents, medical students, physician assistants, nurses, patient educators and other health professionals. For further information, call Nancy Crossfield at (800) 274-2237, Ext. 3142.
