Delegates Choose Rick Kellerman, M.D., President-Elect

The AAFP Congress of Delegates on Sept. 28 elected Rick Kellerman, M.D., of Wichita, Kan., to be the AAFP's next president-elect. Others elected or chosen by acclamation for the following positions are:

  • Speaker of the Congress -- Thomas Weida, M.D., of Hershey, Pa.
  • Vice Speaker -- Leah Raye Mabry, M.D., of San Antonio
  • Directors -- Bradley Fedderly, M.D., of Milwaukee: Lori Heim, M.D., of Lakewood, Wash.; and Robert "Butch" Pallay, M.D.,  of Hillsborough, N.J.
  • New physician Board member -- Donald Klitgaard, M.D., of Harlan, Iowa
  • Resident Board member -- Christina Kelly, M.D., of Tacoma, Wash.
  • Student Board member -- Seth Flagg of Malden, Mass.
  • Finalists for the AAFP position on the board of directors of the American Board of Family Medicine -- John Bucholtz, D.O., of Columbus, Ga.; Dean Patton, M.D., of Greenville, N.C.' and J. Mack Worthington, M.D., of Chattanooga, Tenn. The ABFM will select one finalist next spring to serve a five-year term.
