Don't Miss 2006 Scientific Assembly

By News Staff

The 2006 Scientific Assembly is less than a week away, but you still can be a part of it all. Washington, D.C., will host this year's Assembly from Sept. 27 to Oct. 1. The Exposition Hall will be open Sept. 28 to 30.

Register on-site and choose from more than 300 family medicine-focused CME courses, including double credit for evidence-based CME. Topic areas include Maintenance of Certification, technology, clinical procedures, research, practice enhancement and career development. The options may dizzying, but keeping track of your courses won't be, thanks to the new Assembly Schedule Builder, which lets you keep track of courses by date, time, topic or name.

CME is a big part of Assembly, but it's not all of the experience. Join with other family physicians to make a statement at the Wednesday morning Capitol Hill Rally; visit five Smithsonian museums at the Assembly Celebration; and hear from AAFP President Larry Fields, M.D., President-Elect Rick Kellerman, M.D., FAAFP, and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich at the Opening Ceremony.

Register on-site from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sept. 26, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 27, or from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 28-30.
