If you're up for Academy membership re-election this year, consider making your first New Year's resolution before Thanksgiving: Report all CME credit earned during your re-election cycle by Dec. 31.

Report CME Before Year's End

11/15/2006
Fortunately, this is one resolution that's easy to keep. You can start by simply viewing your CME record (Members Only) on the AAFP Web site. After logging in, you'll be able to see exactly how much CME you've earned in the various categories, report additional CME, review your re-election status and learn about upcoming CME opportunities.
Don't forget that of the 150 CME credits required every three years for AAFP membership, 75 must be Prescribed credits, and at least 25 must be from a group learning experience. For members seeking re-election in 2007, CME must have been earned between Jan. 1, 2004 and Dec. 31, 2006.
Credits may be reported until March 31, 2007, but why wait until the last minute? Best of all, you can report all of your credit, including your teaching, publication, presentation, research and enrichment activities, online, by fax at (913) 906-6269, by phone at (800) 274-8043, or via mail to AAFP CME Records, 11400 Tomahawk Creek Parkway, Leawood, KS 66211.
Short on credits? Check out the Academy's numerous self-study CME options; many of them are available at no charge.
