Professional Development
New topics were added this year to help both participants and their patients gain greater satisfaction from their personal and professional lives. The course is designed to cover the spectrum of women's health concerns and to broaden family physicians' approach to management and treatment decisions for their female patients. The course also is designed to nourish the mind, body, heart and spirit and to help participants embrace the core elements of optimal wellness, health and fitness.

Lectures offered address such topics as healthy lifestyles, contraceptive case studies, depression, female sexual dysfunction and osteoporosis. Breakout sessions cover skin case studies, eating disorders, medication for and additional management of patients with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and more. Self-care activities and optional hands-on procedure courses for additional CME also will be offered.
