Boost Your Skills in Managing Skin Problems at Upcoming Course

Family physicians can expand their knowledge of common -- and some not-so-common -- skin disorders during AAFP's Skin Problems and Diseases Course June 11-16 in Galveston, Texas. They also can sign up to learn -- step-by-step -- how to perform various cosmetic skin procedures. And all while earning a generous helping of CME credit.

The course will address identification of common skin disorders in all age groups, development of treatment strategies, and application of appropriate diagnostic and treatment techniques.

In addition to participating in the course's many clinical Q-and-A sessions, registrants have the opportunity to submit photographs of puzzling cases they've encountered in their practices. Faculty will select photographs/cases to discuss during the conference.

Optional hands-on procedural workshops will focus on cosmetic procedures, such as botulinum toxin injection, chemical peels and microdermabrasion, as well as treatment of specific skin problems. Note that each of these workshops requires preregistration and an extra fee.

Overall, this activity has been reviewed and is acceptable for 45.25 or more Prescribed CME credits by the AAFP. Early-bird registration ends May 15.
