The course "Geriatric Medicine for the Family Physician" will be offered Sept. 19-23 in Horseshoe Bay, Texas. Early-bird registration is available on or before Aug. 17.

- provide improved primary care to their elderly patients;
- serve as information resources for primary care geriatric medicine in their communities;
- identify and discuss medical and psychiatric health issues that impact elderly patients; and
- describe key geriatric syndromes, including their differential diagnoses, evaluation and management.
The course helps prepare physicians in taking the examination to earn a certificate of added qualifications in geriatric medicine. It also may assist individuals who are preparing to sit for the geriatric module of the American Board of Family Medicine recertification or certification examination.
This course has been reviewed and is acceptable for 25.25 or more Prescribed CME credits.
