As you plan for 2008, here are a couple of CME courses from the Academy you may want to factor into the mix.
Treat yourself to CME with a Caribbean twist by attending the March 10-14 Selected Ambulatory and Hospital Internal Medicine Topics course in St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles. Learn about the latest internal medicine developments and techniques in such topic areas as heart disease, skin problems, women's health, musculoskeletal diseases, endocrine disorders and geriatrics.
Dates don't work for you? Consider caring for yourself -- as well as learning the latest about caring for your female patients -- while earning CME credits by attending the Women's Health and Physician Wellness course in Carefree, Ariz., March 27-30. Course presentations will cover the spectrum of women's health concerns, from osteoporosis to hormone replacement therapy. You also can sign up for optional hands-on sessions covering "Chemical Peels and Microdermabrasion," "Botulinum Toxin Injections" and "Procedures in Women's Health." Optional wellness sessions are "Prescription for Personal Wellness" and "Weight Management Strategies and Mindful Eating Lunch" (separate registration and fees are required for these optional sessions; registration is limited). Free activities include yoga, Pilates, trail walking and special breakfasts on nutrition. Special spa packages will be available to attendees.
Register before Feb. 6 to get the early-bird registration fee for the internal medicine topics course. Register before Feb. 26 to get the discounted fee for the women's health and physician wellness course.
