The course will be led by Michelle May, M.D., and is designed to teach physicians how to

  • make systemic and cultural changes to promote fitness,

  • approach each patient encounter as an opportunity to open a dialogue on fitness,
  • use behavioral counseling techniques when discussing fitness,
  • reinforce patient commitments to long-term health improvement, and
  • understand the resources provided by the AIM program and how they can motivate patients to improve their fitness.
Registration for the webcast closes August 14, so be sure to register online before that date. Go to the AIM Web page on the Academy's Web site for more information.
