Just because school lets out for summer doesn't mean learning stops. The Academy has resources to help you educate your patients on important issues that often arise when the temperatures start climbing.
AAFP Family Health Facts patient education brochures are a helpful way to spread the word. The series covers topics most frequently encountered in family medicine and is written from the perspective of the family physician. In addition, the brochures are written at an easily accessible level for the patients they target.
Some topics that can aid patients this summer:
- Healthy Living & Prevention: Skin Cancer and Exercise
- Child Health: Child Safety
- Common Conditions: Cuts, Scrapes & Stitches
The brochures have been favorably reviewed by physicians and patients.
