The CD, available free to AAFP members, compiles the best of the Academy's 2005 ACF resources, including video CME programs, online resources, American Family Physician articles and Scientific Assembly lectures. It includes tools, patient information and other resources on genetically linked diseases that FPs can use when talking about these issues with their patients.
The 2005 ACF CD also outlines a practice-based quality improvement project FPs can complete to earn 20 CME credits.
The 2005 ACF Genomics covered information on eight clinical topics: family history, breast cancer, Alzheimer's disease, colorectal cancer, bipolar disorder, newborn screening, hemochromatosis and autism.
Members can order the CD-ROM by calling (800) 944-0000 and requesting item 2584 or by requesting it online. Nonmembers can purchase the resource online for $25.
