1/23/2007
This year's meeting, which is co-sponsored by AAFP's National Research Network, or NRN, and the Federation of Practice-Based Research Networks, will feature plenary sessions and a keynote address that focus on the intersection of patient-centered care and primary care research. Specifically, conference speakers will address
- how information technology can improve -- or, potentially, hinder -- patient centered care;
- how improvements in treatment for clinical depression can be integrated into the primary care setting;
- whether patient-centered care can benefit physicians' bottom lines; and
- study findings on the representativeness of select NRN studies.
Participants also can sign up for an interactive pre-convocation workshop on research training titled "Putting Practices Into Research and Putting Research into Practices."
