Member Central is one component of the Academy's overall goal of better serving AAFP members. It is designed to decrease caller wait times and to make services easier to access for members calling about their membership or CME records or to register for Academy-sponsored CME.
The service, which was launched on May 15, handled nearly 150 calls on its first day, with an average wait time of less than seconds, according to Kathy Blair, CME records assistant manager in the Membership Division.
The phone number for Member Central is (800) 274-8043.
